breathe and let go

i've been hitting the gym and running for the past several months but my yoga practice has been neglected during the process.  today marks the start of week two in my return to yoga...breathing and letting go.

visit here to learn more about my favorite mantra, found above...

layer behavior

um, hello!  this is a perfectly dressed man in my opinion.  perfectly dressed to stroll the markets, grab a bit to eat on the patio of a coffee shop, explore the little shops...

a well balanced mix of proper gentleman, hippie, and country boy.  loving the frayed jacket cuffs, denim on denim broken up by a tweed vest and of course the patches...now, if i could only see his shoes.

architecture worship

i've been lucky enough to travel to several different countries and since the beginning of my travels i have had a deep fascination for the local churches.  something about the architecture, the aura (though i don't affiliate myself with one certain religion), the history.  here are several that i have added to my bucket list:

duomo milano

heddal stave

las lajas

i would like to see if any of these new additions can top those of the st. vitus cathedral in prague.  it won't be easy to surpass the absolute beauty and color saturation of the stained glass windows (a stunning rose window resides here as well as a window design by mucha; one of my favorite artist of all time) or the vaulting arches of the arcade.

but, i'm always willing to visit and consider changing my mind...just sayin'

poetic practicality

discovered this artistic duo via design*sponge this morning.  impressive.  i won't begin to try and put art into written word...it would be an epic fail on my part.  all i can say is that it moves me.  thanks ronan & erwan bouroullec for letting me start my day inspired.

thanks to a blogger friend of mine, i now have a new obsession. she just returned from her paris honeymoon and while there visited the world renowned repetto boutique.  (the intro is a must watch)

repetto not only carries dance shoes but collections for women, men, and children as well as accessories and exclusive lines.

cabin fever

the second snowfall of the season is now upon us (well, technically, today is more ice than snow but yesterday's snow was beautiful).  we are usually still waiting to have our first tiny bit of snow fall this time of month but yesterday produced anywhere from 3"- 8."  i don't typically mind the snow/ice because i fill my time indoors with crafts that i enjoy but today i really wish i was a part of this photo.  look at that blanket...the tea/coffee...the noms.  add a good book and good company to that picturesque scene and i would be in heaven.

hope you are enjoying this 'winter storm' we are having.  off to craft!
